 SCISSOR LIFT CONVERSION |
Miretti Americas has taken a major step forward with a significant investment in the latest EX technologies to provide efficiency, modern solutions and advanced designs that meet the needs of today's industries. Miretti has been a market leader in the explosion protection of material handling, oilfield and coal mining equipment to be used in potentially explosive atmospheres. The company, founded in 1973, has a global footprint with manufacturing facilities in North America, Europe and the Asia Pacific and works closely with all leading manufacturers of forklift trucks and associated systems.
Working in environments that pose potential risks of explosion, where flammable or potentially flammable materials are handled and stored, requires equipment that can boast the highest safety standards. This becomes even more critical when protecting your company's investment in renovated, converted or purchased EX trucks.
Miretti Americas' conversions continue to provide innovative breakthroughs and provide end users continuity within their fleet. Our strong dealer network partnerships enhance confidence in their own brand by combining our explosion proof expertise with the OEM's quality and modern designs resulting in best-in-class Explosion Proof units. Our conversions do not alter the operation of the OEM unit nor do we compromise the footprint of the unit. The only difference, in the end, is a new explosion proof designation.
The most important question customers, who are unsure of the conversion process, consistently ask is,
"is the unit safe and is it tested by a notified body?" The answer is simply yes, it is safe and all Miretti conversions are tested, certified and listed by a Nationally & Internationally Recognized Testing Laboratory in accordance with US, UL 583 standards, and the EU ATEX Standards for our International division. Not a single unit can be sent into the field without a certified EX label on it. Our vehicle conversions have been in operation in the US for over 6 years and counting without incident. In Europe & Asia converted trucks dominate the marketplace. While in the US, EX trucks are more commonly built from the ground up. Thanks to consistent research focusing on new technologies and innovative solutions, Miretti Global annually protects over 700 diesel and electric vehicles, 300 engines and enclosures, and upwards of 200 vehicles for mines and tunnels worldwide.

What is the difference in certification between a converted unit and one built from the ground up? Nothing actually. The unit cannot be released to the end user without being tested and certified. So, what is the difference and why should a conversion be considered? The variety and available options are the simple answer. Conversions provide you with choices in how to organize your fleet. Now you have options to modify your material handling products in ways that best fit the needs of your operation, not the needs of the manufacturer.
We invite you to come explore all of our
conversions options and our line of EX trucks. Our new
EX electric trucks, among other innovative solutions, utilize AC motors power units and intrinsically safe ergonomic push button controls. The new line is approved and certified for use in North American Class I, Division 1 and Class II, Division 1 classified locations and also European Zone 1 and Zone 21 dangerous atmospheres.
Our support does not end with providing EX vehicles. The Miretti After-Sales & Service Support Departments provide technical support aimed at providing the most personal client service to maintain productivity and protect your investment.
