An exhibit space drawing for the Modex 2014 trade exposition will be held on 23 January 2013 in Chicago, Illinois during the ProMat 2013 show.

The next Modex fair takes place on 17-20 March 2014 in Atlanta in the Georgia World Congress Centre, where the inaugural Modex 2012 event was held.

The Charlotte-based Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA) trade group organises both the Modex and ProMat shows.

Tom Carbott, senior vice president of exhibitions for MHIA, says that 80% of Modex attendees have buying power for their company and that 28% plan to spend USD1 million or more on material handling, supply chain and logistics products and services over the succeeding 18 months, accounting for expenditures of USD20 billion collectively.

Participants in the exhibit space draw get first pick of exhibit space on Modex's 180,000 sqft. (16,722 sqm) show floor.

More than 70% of all available space is taken the day of the space draw, Carbott notes. "You do not have to be present to participate (but you can) earn discounts of USD2 per square foot plus an additional 5% by participating in the draw."

These releases in Forkliftaction are a nice experience for SNDC... We got seven inquiries coming from Canada, USA, Mexico, Israel and Australia (five from retailers, two from machines manufacturers) and we are still in contact with them. I can state that's a success story!
