Linde's new refurbishment centre for used forklifts in Bristol. |
Linde has opened a refurbishment centre for used forklifts at its Bristol site to service the Southern England and South Wales area.
Mark Sullivan, Linde's head of used and rental equipment at the company's Basingstoke headquarters, says that UK companies are under increasing pressure to streamline operations and cut costs. "We are seeing a growing trend in the number of our customers looking to invest in mixed fleets of new and used forklifts to maximise their return on investment."
Sullivan says refurbished forklifts are an "excellent, cost-effective alternative" to new forklifts.
"It is the risk-free way to acquire reliable, high-performance equipment backed by [our] brand. Our new dedicated refurbishment facility will help us meet growing customer demand for used trucks [in] the area," he explains.
According to Linde, three grades of refurbished forklifts are available to suit individual budgets and application requirements. Local service engineers from Linde's national network will offer after-sales support.
The Bristol centre has an annual output of 250 forklifts a year. Other UK Linde refurbishment centres are in Hoddeston, West Bromwich, Warrington, Castleford, Newton, Aycliffe and East Kilbride.
