The world's only manufacturer of rough terrain reachstackers, Kalamar RT, has announced its expansion into the public market.

The Kalmar RT240 Rouch Terrain Reach Stackers were initially produced exclusively for the United States Armed Forces. These reach stackers are capable of handling 20' and 40' containers across virtually any landscape. The RT240 is the only reach stacker capable of working in unimproved ground conditions, harsh environments, and up to 27 percent grades. Its application versatility is expanded by the availability of fork and sling lift attachments.

Most recently, Toll Group, have purchased four of the Kalmar RT240 Rough Terrain Reachstackers for one of the world's largest natural gas projects. The RT240 will help add capacity and efficiency to its freight and materials handling operations at both the dock and construction site, where due to its remote location, previous operations have failed to meet schedule.

The Toll Group RT240 purchase marks a new era for Kalmar RT Center in the commercial sector and an opportunity for companies around the globe to now use the same battle-tested equipment used by the military.
