In the past, there was seldom mention of lithium-ion battery technology, but now barely a week goes by without some manufacturer at least testing the alternative energy source.
The groundbreaking work done by Tesla in the automotive space has demystified lithium-ion battery technology. Tesla put it out there for all to see with some impressive and sought-after cars that have captivated public attention. And it appears that materials handling, with its limited range and modest power requirements, is the perfect environment for further exploitation of the technology.
This newsletter contains two lithium-ion stories - but brace yourselves, because we have a feeling that we'll be hearing much, much more about the energy source in the months ahead.
