Batteries are something of an after-thought for most forklift owners, but they represent a significant part of operational costs and also contribute to efficiency.
This week, we start a two-part special report on batteries, looking at some of the options currently available. And, of course, the choice is not limited to the power boxes themselves; there are many charging options and management systems - all promising to keep the equipment running efficiently and cost-effectively.
With battery-powered forklifts still making up a significant proportion of the global fleet, this report is not just interesting, it is valuable and its insights could generate some serious savings and productivity gains.
