There were some concerns this week about slow global economic growth, with much attention paid to a statement from International Monetary Fund head Christine Lagarde.
She warned that six years after the financial crisis, some countries are still dealing with high debts and mass unemployment, despite central bank efforts to boost growth with low interest rates.
But Lagarde is not giving up on growth. Rather, she is using the current state of play as a motivator, aiming to encourage governments to spend more on targeted projects and implement "growth-friendly" reforms.
Calls for more infrastructure projects are, of course, good news for materials handling equipment manufacturers, many of which are already enjoying double-digit growth rates.
So, while things may be slow in other sectors, it looks like the future for forklifts continues to shine.
