One of the media releases we didn't run this week was about the use of materials handling equipment at the Spanish Grand Prix. We ignored it because it was not news: the use of forklifts at sporting events is very common. As it is in cultural events, social occasions and other walks of life.
It's a sign of the importance of materials handling that we are no longer surprised to see a forklift in the parking lot of a shopping centre, or buzzing around a conference facility.
Of course, that doesn't mean that we don't want to hear about unusual applications of the technology, so keep those coming.
