This week marks the 25th anniversary of an invention without which you would not be reading this newsletter.
In 1989, Tim Berners-Lee unveiled the worldwide web, the fastest-growing communication medium of all time.
Not only has the Internet transformed communication, but it continues to evolve and find new applications in every aspect of life.
While the Internet is the basis of our entire operation, it is also becoming increasingly important for our readers and advertisers as more and more business goes online.
Where will the web be in 25 years time? No-one knows, but it is interesting to note that it took radio 38 years to reach 50 million users; TV got there in 13 years and the web needed just four to reach the milestone.
