It's interesting to watch our Discussion Forums to get a sense of different posters' views of forum etiquette. Most people are well-behaved, respectful and well-intentioned. But there are some posts that verge on defamation, and we try to remove these quickly - not to stifle discussion, but to avoid legal action.
Then, there are those people who try to use the Forums for advertising. They know it's not on to try and promote their businesses and many of them try all sorts of tricks to sneak their emails and URLs into the posts. All we can say is: come on guys, we weren't born yesterday. Our moderators know what you're up to when they see things like "xyz-at-email-dot-com". Worse still, those clumsy efforts to mask your contact details just prove that you know it's wrong, so please, ignore the temptation and use the Forums for their intended purpose - to foster discussion and help others in the industry.
