There are some numbers that have mystique about them: 100, a thousand, 10,000, etc. Alas, the number 600 is not so steeped in glamour. A recent New York Times article, celebrating a score of 600 by a baseballer, noted a few famed 600s: a credit score of 600 is the tipping point between creditworthy and not; anything below 600 calories a day is starvation and the charge of the light brigade involved 600 soldiers.
For us, 600 is a particularly important number this week as we mark our 600th edition. It was almost two years ago that we marked our 500th issue.
So, a dozen years after the first newsletter hit the internet, we're still here - bigger and better than ever, and still working hard to add more features and functionality to the website and our weekly newsletters.
This week, please join me in thanking our founder, our staff, our advertisers and everyone else who makes this all possible - and, of course, we thank our readers, without whom there would be little point to this endeavour.
