There are two interesting indications of the growth of the Asian market in this week's newsletter. Firstly, KION Group is expanding its footprint in the region with establishment of a division for South Asia. The Singapore office will help support growth of the Linde, STILL and Baoli brands. Meanwhile, one of Europe's most successful used equipment vendors, Lisman, has opened a subsidiary in nearby Malaysia. The aim is to tap into Asia's growth and replicate the European operation on another continent. Both moves are consistent with indications of continued growth in Asia which, ironically, is becoming a more significant supplier of materials handling equipment to the rest of the world.
