Just when you thought ICE had gone cold, German manufacturer Linde announces a new line of diesel- and LPG-powered forklifts designed for heavier loads.
Sure, there are many battery-powered machines that can cope with heavy loads, but Linde clearly recognises the trust that many owners still place in ICE.
At the same time, we report on another interesting trend this week, revealed in the new strategic direction of Linde's KION stablemate, Still. Like a few other major manufacturers, Still is embarking on a two-tier product approach - with premium and entry-level machine lines. This approach has clearly worked for rivals like Yale and Hyster, but comes as a bit of a surprise as KION already has a full entry-level range under the Baoli brand.
