A recent California police bust says something about the supply delays and rising prices of forklifts.
As we report this week, the Inglewood Police Department found more than 120 forklifts and other industrial machinery at a warehouse in the City of Commerce after following up on a recent theft.
It looks like part of a full-blown crime operation, with the machines stripped of their ID numbers and repainted for resale.
The good news is that locals who have had equipment stolen recently stand a chance of recovering their forklifts. But it is a worry that criminals have shifted their attention from cars to materials handling equipment. Let's hope it's not the start of a trend.
