Hyundai will sponsor the Australian Forklift Championships for the next three yearsHyundai High Performance Forklifts Australia has signed a deal to be the official forklift sponsor of the Australian Forklift Championship and will fly the 2025 Individual Champion to compete at the CeMAT Southeast Asia Forklift Championship in 2026.
CeMAT Australia organisers say the long-term partnership reinforces Hyundai’s commitment to raising safety standards, celebrating frontline talent, and supporting workforce development across the logistics and materials handling sector.
Nathan Owens, marketing director, Hyundai High Performance Forklifts Australia, says supporting the winner of the Individual Championship to compete on an international stage is a logical next step to its current three-year sponsorship deal with the event.
The 2025 winner, Kaelyn Pakoti from Sydney Trains, will compete at the CeMAT Southeast Asia Forklift Championship in Singapore in May.
“This prize just puts the Forklift Championship and our show on the regional map,” adds Mike Nissen, commercial director, CeMAT Australia & Asia-Pacific.
The 2025 Australian Forklift Championship had more than 30 competitors across the individual and corporate competitions. It also raised funds for Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds, supporting mental health initiatives across the transport, warehousing, and supply chain industries.
