Dutch forklift dealer Hermans Heftrucks and Belgian industrial holding company Heylen Group have acquired Belgian forklift and warehouse equipment outfit Tuvo.

Hermans Heftrucks chief executive officer Dennis Renders says: “The complementarity of the business areas, the focus on serving the small and medium-enterprise segment, extensive experience with the Toyota and BT brands, shared quality standards and family values as well as the potential to bring a breath of fresh air to a company that has existed since 1979 are the pillars of this promising partnership.”

Former Tuvo owner Hugo Tubax says he was proud to have led the company for almost 45 years.

“By joining forces with Hermans Heftrucks, the company can increase its market share and strengthen its position as the reference for quality in the forklift market,” Tubax says.

Tuvo sales manager Tom Vantvelt says: “This partnership will enable us to offer our customers a wider range of products and services, including an extensive rental range of telehandlers, scissor lifts and aerial work platforms.”

Financial details of the acqisition were not disclosed.
