AccelRate Fast Charging TechnologyThe LIFESPEED MOD3 charger line delivers outstanding fast charging capabilities. Utilizing the patented AccelRate technology, LIFESPEED MOD3 chargers feature a unique charge algorithm that can recharge batteries 3 to 5 times faster than conventional chargers. This algorithm reduces the natural resistance of the battery by incorporating short, low-energy discharge cycles at precise intervals. This process lowers the build-up of charging ions around the battery plates, allowing a more even distribution of active ions over the entire charging area. This discharge cycle increases charge acceptance by the battery, thus reducing excessive heat generation and allowing a higher charging current to be applied and maintained. The result is a fully charged battery (100% amphere hour return from an 80% DoD) in just 2-3 hours.
Additional Charge Profile OptionsIn addition to the fast charging profile, LIFESPEED MOD3 chargers can also be programmed as either a conventional (IONIC) or opportunity charger. HAWKER's patented IONIC profile is the best value on the market for conventional charging in most applications. IONIC charging utilizes periodic pulses of current to determine the battery's true capacity and state of charge, as well as mix the electrolyte throughout the charge to avoid acid stratification. The IONIC profile provides an optimal recharge with minimal heat generation.

The LIFESPEED MOD3 includes an opportunity charge profile that returns capacity to the battery during breaks without excessively gassing the battery. The opportunity profile can be set either manually using front panel menus or automatically while using HAWKER's Battery Boss
® WC wireless, smart-data diagnostic device. When coupled with the compact BBWC device, the charger will automatically adapt to battery, AH capacity, and temperature. Whichever profile is selected, the charger will automatically charge a range of battery voltages and in IONIC will automatically adjust for a wide range of battery AH capacities.

Offered in 6-bay and 12-bay cabinets, these chargers allow for modules to be added or removed in response to customers' changing power needs. The LIFESPEED MOD3 chargers can be configured for a wide range of 3.5 kW modules - up to a maximum of 12 modules. This allows customers to scale their charging power to meet their operational demands.

Its IONIC charge profile lowers the charge factor by diagnosing the battery and precisely returning the energy needed to completely recharge the user's battery. (The LIFESPEED MOD3 operates at efficiencies of up to 94% and a power factor of .96.)
