 Genie Z-60/37DC |
Genie has launched the Z-60/37DC all-electric Z-boom lift which boasts a full day's operation on one charge.
Launched in the US, it can be fully charged from a 110 V wall power supply in under 14 hours.
The Z-60/37DC model is Genie's first all-electric 66 ft. (20 m) articulating boom and shares many similarities in terms of performance and components with its popular existing Z-62/40 boom model.
Terex says it designed this boom to take advantage of the strengths and history of its boom lift product line, "to offer customers the right equation of maximised range of motion, real four-wheel drive abilities, quiet performance, energy efficiency, jobsite versatility and cost effectiveness".
The new model weighs 5,000 lb. (2,268 kg) less than the Genie Z-62/40 lift, delivers 59 ft. 7 in. (18 m) of platform height, 36 ft. 7 in. (11.15 m) of horizontal outreach and 24 ft. 3 in. (7.4 m) of up-and-over clearance with 160° of platform rotation.
Meanwhile, the manufacturer has also introduced three new options for its Z-62/40 articulating boom lift: four-wheel steering, the TraX track-drive system, and a Deutz 74-hp (55 kW) turbocharged Tier 4F diesel engine. The new options offer more versatility in meeting the demands of the work environment, terrain, climate, and the job at hand, Genie claims.
The Genie Z-62/40 articulating boom options will be available globally later this year.
