Fork-Co USA has announced its acquisition of 100% of the stock of Unit Load Handling Systems and of Trading Point.
Fork-Co USA supplies standard ITA/FEM forklift forks, manufactures custom forks, and designs and builds forklift attachments.
Brian Scally, formerly president of Unit Load Handling, has assumed the role of president of Fork-Co, bringing 48 years of experience in the forklift attachment industry. He founded Unit Load Handling in 2001.
"These acquisitions make the company a more complete, well-rounded attachment, forks and accessories supplier to the lift truck marketplace," says Scally. "The growth of all the companies in the past several years (and) the building of a strong product quality and customer service reputation have worked hand-in-hand to make this growth possible. We intend to become a more valuable supplier to our customers."
The Unit Load Handling brand will continue under Fork-Co. Unit Load's USA-made products include heavy-duty fork positioners, fork spreader frames, custom carriages, rotators, stone slab bundle extractors, pipe hold-down clamps, log grapples, coil rams, carpet poles, lateral clamps, load inverters, load transfers and custom-designed clamps and attachments.
Trading Point manufactures aftermarket plastic bearings and slides for sideshifters and clamps, fork extensions and heavy-duty sleeve forks and fork-mounted attachments, and supplies panoramic rearview mirrors. Operating staff of Trading Point will be subsumed into by Fork-Co USA under the new structure.
Fork-Co USA will continue to manufacture its products at its factory in Alvin, Texas, USA.
