Australia's Department of Defence (DoD) has issued a tender request for medium-sized rough-terrain forklifts valued at AUD3 million (USD2.01 million).
The tender calls for offers of up to 30 8000-kilogram capacity rough terrain forklifts to replace the DoD's ageing fleet of Case W-36 machines.
The contract requires the tenderer to supply technical documentation, training, support, testing equipment and spare parts. An option also exists for trading-in the existing fleet.
A DoD spokesman told
Forkliftaction.com News the machines would be used at various DoD facilities around Australia.
The tender, which closes on July 9, 2003, can be viewed on Forkliftaction.com's
Tenders page.
