CWA has added CTL 260-18 cranes |
Singapore-based tower crane rental company and Terex tower cranes distributor Crane World Asia (CWA) has ordered 31 Terex CTL 260-18 luffing jib tower cranes all at once, along with three Terex CDK 100-16 luffing jib derrick cranes. Another batch of nine Terex CTL 630B-32 luffing jib tower cranes and one CTL 650F-45 will reach South Korea later this year.
"The thing that really sold us on the CTL 260-18 was its powerful performance characteristics, which are demonstrated by its ability to lift over 3 T at its maximum boom length of 55 m," says Roger Poon, director at Crane World Asia. Thirty of the Terex CTL 260-18 cranes will be delivered to Busan in South Korea, while the remaining one will go to Hong Kong. "We'll be delivering the first three cranes in the next weeks, and the other 28 will be delivered throughout the year until the end of October," Terex tower crane sales manager Zac Tan confirms from Singapore.
CWA's customers are already looking forward to receiving their models. A representative of SeoHae Tech, which bought several CTL 260-18 cranes in 2018, says: "The tip load, load moment and load capacity are excellent. Plus, it is a very versatile crane." He adds: "The CTL 260-18 is the most popular we use; it has been a very reliable machine and we are very satisfied with it. This is why we decided to invest in these extra units."
Another user, MK Tower Co. Ltd, was looking for a luffing jib tower crane which would eliminate downtimes and the CTL 260-18 has proved to be very reliable, so the company has ordered another 20 units.
