Crown Equipment Corp has released a new series of pallet trucks, the PE 4000 Series.
Crown's latest range, which the company has called an "investment in durability", is up to 45% heavier than the competition, due to the use of additional steel at critical stress points. The trucks feature wear plates made of T1 steel and steel doors that guard against damage to internal components.
Crown says the PE 4000 Series has the industry's biggest drive unit and a 13-inch drive tyre for a smoother ride and surer handling. The truck's castor assembly incorporates shim-free, quick-adjust features for wheel life, stability, and better handling, braking and traction.
The trucks have a sculpted power unit, a ribbed kneepad design, premium mats and floorboards to protect against heat, jarring motions and bumps.
No details of the new truck's distribution roll-out were released before publication.
