Clark Material Handling Co plans to donate six pallet jacks to non-profit organisations needing the materials handling capability for community service or charitable work.
An application form for the philanthropic "raising hope - Clark pallet jack giveaway program" asks whether the nominee is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code, requests details about the mission of the organisation and seeks to learn how a recipient would use the equipment.
The program is open to any group that "could benefit from being a recipient of one of our pallet jacks that we are giving away", says Sherry Myers, human resources manager with Lexington-based Clark.
Organisations outside of the commonwealth of Kentucky will be responsible for shipping costs, Myers says.
Completed
nomination forms should be sent to Clark by 15 September.
