'2023 turned out to be a year of growth in all aspects...' Forkliftaction CEO Ann Hofmans takes pause to celebrate recent successes and to look ahead to the coming months.
We are almost eight weeks into 2024! With the January summer breaks in Australia concluded, the Forkliftaction team is back at the desks attending to a barrage of work that leaves little time to reflect. Yet so much has happened last year, and there is a lot in the pipeline.
One of our biggest achievements in 2023 came last May with the re-design of our web pages.
We made a conscious effort to make local content more accessible by lifting the local news, job opportunities and events up to the top in both your Forkliftaction News edition email and web pages.
We forged new connections with industry players in the regions that we felt were previously under-served, allowing us to report on news from all parts of the world.
The redesign introduced several new features aimed at making your visit more enjoyable and your searches more successful, e.g. on most pages we now suggest links for you to continue reading, and at the end of every article you are presented with intuitive links to similar stories and affiliated resources. We hope this has helped you get more out of your visits to Forkliftaction.com.
The past year we also put a lot of work in the development of our blogs and today we produce more blogs than ever. Our blogs are well received. More industry people are reaching out to share their work-life stories and it feels great to bring their varied experiences to our audience. Our blogs have brought us closer to the industry and the people that drive it, day in day out.
2023 was positively busy and inspiring!
2023 turned out to be a year of growth in all aspects.
Throughout the year 3,419 business people opted in for a (new) subscription.
The average traffic on our platform increased with 58% for 2023 compared to 2022. We now track +1,000,000 visits per month!
Our visitors accessed the website more frequently, on average 3.6 times each month, up from 2.7 in 2022.
Our success in statistics was felt by everyone in the team! We were very busy processing reader enquiries, incoming news leads, and interested advertisers. We received more positive feedback from our readers, we reported better results to our advertisers, and we generally managed more connections with the market.
And this bustle feels good! This keeps us going.
As received only last week from Gavin Trim, CEO with Nationwide Training, Australia, who kindly took the time to tell us:
"I really enjoy your newsletter and share the articles with all my training team for industry currency. I also print and display specific articles on forklift safety and accidents on our notice board for all the learners who attend our training courses to read. Thank you and your team for the work that is put into the webpage and newsletters."
This year we continue to focus on making sure our subscribers are getting their money’s worth out of their free subscription ;)
Forkliftaction is so much more than just a platform for industry news. If you have not before, make sure to check out the many resources available to you as a subscriber.
Did you know we welcomed 821 new forum users in 2023? The Discussion Forums are buzzing with activity. To see the forums grow and flourish is very exciting and we owe it to the technicians who help each other out, taking the time (some almost daily) to share valuable tips.
The Technical Troubleshooting Forum is the one and only global resource for mechanics and engineers to find peer support and a wealth of technical know-how about forklifts of all types and brands. This makes it unique and very special.
Now that local Job Alerts are shown on the homepage, we get to feature career opportunities in more parts of the world. Read by smart operators in our industry, Forkliftaction Jobs are an effective place to post your vacancies promoting your company culture and growth.
If you are looking to refresh your career path with a new opportunity either close to home or abroad, maybe you will find a perfect job match on Forkliftaction! We hope you will make good use of the resource in 2024.
With much gusto, we have started the New Year. We are working on a range of new features and functions to keep improving your experience on Forkliftaction and to grow the value you get out of your subscription. Our focus stays squarely on the industry, on placing businesses in the spotlight and bringing people closer together.
We continue to work hard to make sure we offer a strong and consistent voice to keep you informed. A voice you can count on, no matter how quickly the technological developments and economic dynamics change the way you handle, store and move stock.
Watch this space and we’ll report back as we go along.
I’d like to thank everyone in the materials handling industry for your contribution to our business in 2023. Let’s continue to do great things together in 2024.
The team is looking forward to seeing some of you face-to-face at the global trade shows this March with Jolie setting off to MODEX in Atlanta, and editor Barbara and I attending LogiMAT in Stuttgart in a matter of weeks.
Let us know how we can make Forkliftaction work better for you!
Keep using our resources and keep in touch!
