Cat and Finning agree on remanufacturing
VANCOUVER, Canada

Telehandler manufacturer Caterpillar Inc has acquired a Finning subsidiary's component remanufacturing business.

Under a two-year agreement, Caterpillar will provide all sales and marketing functions while Finning subsidiary OEM Remanufacturing Company Inc (OEM Reman) will perform remanufacturing work.

Remanufacturing work OEM Reman currently does for Finning on Cat-branded equipment would continue, a Finning statement said.

Cat Logistics' new Shanghai centre
SHANGHAI, China

Caterpillar Inc subsidiary Cat Logistics has opened a new parts distribution centre in Lingang Industrial Area, Shanghai.

The 21,000 square metre centre will supply more than 21,000 part numbers for Caterpillar machines and engines to 34 dealers in China and employ around 40 logistics professionals.

Caterpillar plans to supply dealers in Korea and Mongolia by the end of 2006.
