Hiab now has three different ranges of partsCargotec unit Hiab has introduced two new parts offerings to complement its Original Parts catalogue.
Hiab says its new Red Parts range is a cost-effective alternative to Original Parts and is suitable for equipment in the latter part of its lifespan.
Red Parts components have equivalent performance specifications to Original Parts but can have a shorter lifespan. The parts are suited for the maintenance and repair of equipment nearing the end of its first usage cycle.
The new offer helps customers operate their older Hiab equipment efficiently and safely at a lower cost.
Red Parts will initially be available for engine components for truck mounted forklifts and will be expanded to cover more equipment brands and component types during 2024.
Through Hiab’s new Exchange Parts program, customers can return used components and obtain replacement parts at a lower price than a new standard original part.
When a customer returns a used part they will receive a compatible, exchange component at a lower price than an Original Part.
Exchange Parts components have the equivalent specifications to the Original Parts, so there is no compromise on quality or safety.
Returned parts are recycled, remanufactured or properly disposed of by Hiab.
All Hiab’s spare parts come with a 12-month warranty.
“We want to offer all customers spare parts priced right for their equipment, regardless of age and condition,” says Michael Bruninx, Hiab’s senior vice president of services.
“We have therefore complemented our Original Parts with Red Parts and Exchange Parts that present a compelling value proposition for customers with ageing units, characterised by limited remaining lifespan and low utilisation levels.
“The new spare parts portfolio will provide more customers with peace of mind, as its usage helps provide safe operations and reliable performance.”
