Brigade Electronics' new VBV-3XXC Series Eyeball camera |
Newly formed Brigade Electronics (Canada) Ltd is pursuing business development across Canada with a focus on on-site applications and engineering support for customers.
"With success in the Alberta oil sands and on heavy mining equipment in several provinces, it was an easy decision to set up Brigade Electronics (Canada) Ltd to support this important and growing opportunity," says Henry Morgan, director and chief executive officer for the new entity.
Parent company Brigade Electronics Group Plc of South Darenth, England formed the Canadian subsidiary, providing a second presence for the business in North America, alongside a US subsidiary in Palmerton, Pennsylvania.
Brigade has other subsidiaries in Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands and South Africa.
"Brigade is in a unique position, offering a comprehensive range of manoeuvring safety solutions," Morgan says.
Brigade says its patented bbs-tek White Sound reversing alarms make a source of danger more easily locatable than equivalent tonal alarms. The firm's Backsense-brand radar obstacle detection can alert a driver to a danger, and its Backeye360 systems eliminate blind spots by giving a "bird's-eye view" in a single image.
In a camera portfolio streamlining initiative, Brigade offers the new VBV-3XXC series eyeball camera as a replacement for the BE-30X and VBV-0X0 ranges. An adjustable ball and socket lens enables use in virtually any position on a vehicle.
