Report identifies top five fuel cell states

Fuel Cells 2000 has chosen California, Connecticut, New York, Ohio and South Carolina as the "Top 5 Fuel Cell States" in the US.
In its report "State of the States: Fuel Cells in America", the non-profit organisation compiled information regarding supportive fuel cell and hydrogen policies, installations and demonstrations and overall activism in each state.
Each of the top five was selected for different reasons but "they all recognise that establishing a fuel cell-friendly climate brings environmental benefits and jobs to their state," says Fuel Cells 2000 program director Jennifer Gangi.
The report says California is the world leader in vehicle demonstrations, hydrogen fueling stations and strict emissions standards, while South Carolina is active in forklift demonstrations.

Konecranes is building a new office in Finland.

Konecranes has received permits to build a new 3,770 sqm (40,580 sqft) office building in Hyvinkää, Finland.
Pekka Lundmark, Konecranes' CEO, says the new office is part of a wider program to develop the company's operations at the site. "We feel that having different functions - R&D, manufacturing and management - at the same site carries a lot of value."
About 100 employees will fit into the new office consisting of four floors. It will include conference rooms, a canteen, warehouse and technical space.
Construction starts in the northern hemisphere summer and the building is expected to be finished in a year's time.

Heftruckvorken R van Herk BV is now the authorised dealer for Scana Booforge SE in the Benelux.
Sweden-based Scana Booforge is the main fork supplier for Kalmar, Hyster, Fantuzzi, Svetruck and Konecranes forklifts.
Heftruckvorken R van Herk BV says the partnership with Scana Booforge is a "brilliant chance" to increase the company's market share and name recognition in the Benelux.
The Dutch company supplies forks for different makes of forklifts and wheel loaders.
