Automator Comau makes bid for Automha

Turin, Italy

Italian automation product manufacturer Comau has signed a binding agreement for the acquisition of warehousing and intralogistics automation group Automha and its subsidiaries from current owners Trasma.

The acquisition is expected to close in Q2 2025 with Comau calling it “a further step toward the creation of a forward-focused Italian industrial automation hub able to innovate and compete in multiple markets”.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed and management and operation of Automha are expected to stay the same initially.

In June last year, Comau unveiled its MI.RA/OnePicker, the latest in its Machine Inspection Recognition Archetypes (MI.RA) family of hardware-agnostic, intelligent vision systems, which has been designed to pick autonomously.
