Charlotte-headquartered global motion solutions provider for materials handling Columbus McKinnon has announced it will acquire Texas-based lifting solutions provider Kito Crosby for USD2.7 billion.
The deal is expected to close later this year.
Columbus McKinnon CEO and president David Wilson describes the acquisition as “the next important step” in strengthening its position as a “holistic prouder of intelligent motion solutions in materials handling”.

Spain’s Boluda Maritime Terminals Tenerife has ordered four hybrid rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes from Konecranes which will join two RTGs delivered in 2007.
Boluda Maritime Terminal’s CEO Gonzalo Calero Gómez says the hybrid RTGs provide “the perfect balance of perforce and environmental responsibility”.

Hyster launches its A Series forklifts
Hyster has released its H1.6-2.0.A forklifts which replaces the current Hyster H1.6/1.8/2.0FT(S) forklift models which are can be customised to client needs.
The H1.6-2.0A models share several components and options with the H2.0-3.5A range, delivering many of the same benefits, and is available with 1.6-2 T lift capacities.
The forklifts have a choice of masts which Hyster says “maximise visibility by up to 19% when compared to some leading competitors” and the dynamic stability system is an optional extra.
