MVP and MVS applications open
Vernon Hills, IL, United States US industry group MHEDA has called for nominations for its two marks of recognition.
The MVP (Most Valuable Partner) Award provides distributor member companies a tangible method of demonstrating their commitment to business excellence to their important stakeholders including customers, employees and suppliers. Members must complete the minimum requirements, meet criteria in Five Areas of Excellence and submit letters of recommendation from a customer and a supplier.
The MVS (Most Valuable Supplier) Award is given to MHEDA supplier member which have demonstrated their excellence within the materials handling supply chain. The MVS Award consists of a set of requirements that demonstrate a high level of commitment to business excellence. Among award perks, first year MVS Award recipients are allowed priority booth selection for the 2018 MHEDA Convention Showcase.
Seizmic doubles space
Los Angeles, CA, United StatesSeizmic has doubled its office and manufacturing space in Los Angeles, positioning it for significant growth in the materials handling industry. In its new facility, it conducts analysis of more than 160 engineered projects per month, with an average of more than 50 permit acquisitions in various regions of the U.S.
Seizmic offers its engineering design and consultation services, as well as permitting, testing services, custom materials handling fabrication and installation services.

Modulift appoints Canadian distributor
Poole, United KingdomEquipment manufacturer Modulift has named Ontario-based Equipment Corps its first distributor in Canada.
Modulift has a global network of partners with a steadily growing presence in North America. The Canadian addition was announced just weeks after it was confirmed that I&I Sling Inc. will supply its equipment in eastern regions of the USA.
Equipment Corps will stock spreader beams from MOD12, part of its standard range, up to MOD110H from the heavy range. The first batch of stock will be shipped at the end of July, as the new partner looks set to meet a target to become a fully operational distributor by the end of the following month.
