Lauren Reed has been named as the new chief executive officer of industry body MHEDA. Incumbent CEO Jeannette Walker recently announced she would stand down from the position once a suitable replacement had been found.

Reed has more than a decade of leadership in the materials handling sector having served as executive vice president of business development at Jungheinrich subsidiary, Storage Solutions.

“She is a proven leader with a strong track record of building high-performing teams, driving strategic growth, and delivering results through authentic, people-focused leadership,” MHEDA states of Reed.

“She is known for blending critical thinking with a deep understanding of people, process, and purpose to lead through times of transformation and growth.”

Reed has been a long-standing member of MHEDA and currently serves on its Emerging Leaders Advisory Board.

“This organisation has played a pivotal role in my professional journey, and I’m excited to lead with a focus on innovation, member engagement, and building strong community connections across the industry,” Reed says.

Perhaps you’ve noticed things moving a little slowly on Forkliftaction.com recently.

Unfortunately, the growing activity of AI bots that trawl web pages and snatch content places a toll on websites, impacting bandwidth and server resources.

You may have noticed the result of this on our website.

But fear not! Our technical team has worked hard to resolve this extra burden. You should now see a return to Forkliftaction’s usual performance.

Thanks for your patience!
