Tipton, United KingdomUK articulated forklift maker Flexi Narrow Aisle expects global sales of its trucks to more than double over the next five years.
The company says the US market offers strong growth prospects, while recently signed distributor agreements in Australia, South Korea, China and Pakistan are expected to leverage increased demand for the Flexi range in those markets.
The first Flexi articulated truck was launched in the early 1990s. Since then, over 5,000 units have been sold globally.
FLTA signs up to new code
Alton, United KingdomThe Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) has signed up to a new national Code of Practice.
Produced by the Trade Association Forum, the code was drawn up in response to the Heseltine Report, which sought to "inject sustainability into the economy, create conditions for growth and maximise the UK's performance [in trade]".
The code sets out the ethical and other standards that apply to a modern trade association.
FLTA CEO Peter Harvey says: "We expect our members to work to the highest standard and meet the requirements of the FLTA's own Code of Practice."
