Big Lift Trucks's fleet now includes refurbished forklifts and container handlers.
Big Lift Trucks (BLT) has extended its materials handling equipment range to include a fleet of refurbished forklifts, container handlers and reach stackers.

"These refurbished high-capacity machines are available nationally from BLT," says Clinton van den Berg, BLT products manager. "Robust forklifts available with 16, 18 and 32 tonne capacities are offered as rental machines or for purchase. Empty and full container handlers are also available."

Van den Berg adds that to keep up with growing demand and to maintain its position as a key supplier of handling equipment, the logistics provider has opened a new operation in Cape Town to improve service levels in the region.

"Initially, the focus of BLT's business was on hiring equipment for ocean-going containers and related cargoes," he explains. But BLT has secured exclusive distributor rights for leading heavy materials handling equipment manufacturers abroad and the company's offering has been extended to include the sales and service of a wide range of equipment.

The range includes Taylor container handlers, Meclift variable reach trucks and the Mobicon mobile container handling system. BLT also distributes conveying equipment including link conveyors, grab hoopers, surface feeders, radial boom stackers and mobile shiploaders.
