The warehouse employee is responsible to receive in and ship all equipment and products accurately and efficiently, fill customer orders, and communicate with multiple departments. This person is also responsible for supporting organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, proper labeling, communication, and timely resolution to errors in Vendor shipments, returns, and damaged goods.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service Responsibilities
Unload and load trailers of new, used, and rental equipment, as needed.
Inspect loads for damage and document and communicate to supervisor of any found.
Properly tag and locate equipment based on department.
Ensure all packing slips are verified by serial number, signed, and dated for deliveries and shipments.
Promptly submit all paperwork to the appropriate department.
Parts Responsibilities
Shipping: For all orders, accurately and timely pull items ordered from received goods and inventory, pack, and ship. Ensure goods received match goods ordered and are in saleable condition. Ensure the order is shipped completely, accurately, on time and in good condition in the most economical and timely manner. Picking tickets and shipping tickets will be printed often enough to ensure timely shipment.
Receiving: Receive all products physically and associated data entry into computer system daily.
Stock: Organize and place stock in proper locations daily. Update bin locations as needed and keep properly labeled.
Transfer: Ensure that all transfers ship to the other branches or consignment customer at the end of each day.
Housekeeping: Keep warehouse clean and organized.
Requirements / Skills
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of one year warehouse experience or similar training.
Proficient computer skills or the aptitude and willingness to learn how to use a computer and software.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
Demonstrated ability to complete paperwork timely and accurately.
Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions and willingness to learn new tasks.
Professional and courteous customer relations skills and phone etiquette.
Functional capacity to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Effective organizational skills with flexibility and adaptability to complete assigned tasks.
Forklift operator skills.
Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Meet the physical requirements as outlined in the document "Requirements of a Shipping and Receiving Clerk".
Regular and prompt attendance.
Present a professional image in personal appearance, dress, and preparation.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Hours will be 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some overtime may be required. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
