Discussion:
Who are right Hyster yale / mits cat or Toyota

Who has the right idea when it comes to selling trucks,Hyster,Yale / Mits Cat use the same products over 6,000kg.While Toyota use one name for BT trucks. This can not be good for the companies involved, say a customer wants a 16,000kg fork lift the Hyster rep dose all the work dose the demo the customer likes the truck but the price is a bit high he would pay that but some one tells him a bout yale. He calls Yale and there price is 20% lower. Same again with Cat but the Mits is 20% lower who loses out. Nacco will say they will get the sale any way but they have devalued the Hyster brand. With Toyota one brand one price

No Camel is seperate to us and operate in a seperate market under 5,000kg from what i know they will do well in Middle East,
I don't know of other companies planning to set up in this market. Most are looking at shuting or reducing the own manufacturing plants so to look at setting up a new one might not go down well. Unless they are like us and tottaly new but that again has its hard work

Dave.

How many people will be manufacturing forklifts in the middle east.

How about this Camel forklift.

Is that part of your operation or is that a seperate operation.

Hi Edward

The new iLift is coming along we have just finished the new i50-i80 5,000kg - 8,000kg range. To meet the demands of today's customers you have to look at maneuverability fuel efficiency and the environment.

The new i60 has a width of 1908mm with dual front wheels length to face of forks 3181mm and a turn radius of 2769mm

As we already know tier iiii is out next year the iLift can take tier iiii engines without any change.Another environmental issue is how long a truck can last while still being efficient. because the none moving parts can last over 20 years and you can change modulars say every five years you might not need to change the hole truck meaning less steel is needed.

Fuel efficiency is now also important ,when you combine the hydrostatic drive , a service weight of 7719kg for the i60 and the airflow dynamics the i60 is one of the most fuel efficient truck in its class

When you add these to the 10,000-18,000kg 20,0000 - 32,000kg and empty container handling ranges we have a truck that will not only match but in our opinion beat what we would call the market leading Linde H series, Plus Kalmar,Hyster,Taylor and other large truck manufactures

Hey Dave, How is the iLift coming along?

I don't know if there is a "one right way" to build a distribution channel.
Considering the fact the brands existed for so long already, flexibility in dealing with the franshise owners may have considerable value.
