Discussion:
What Year?

Hi to all. I'm new here. I was given this old hyster forklift. For now I would like to know the year of this machine. S/N A10D13459 is the number on the chassis next to counter weight.

Look on the inside of the chassis "firewall", there should be a data plate on your left side. Hyster tech book states that it is either a S20A-S25A or a S30A. ALL hyster serial #'s end in a letter for year built.

Thanks Prentice! The plate is gone. I'm 99% sure it is a S25A. I've found some info off the internet on serial # and how to read it but that info shows S/N ending in a letter to determine the year and mine ends with a 9 go figure. (A10=S20A,S25A or S30A; D=Danville IL.; 13459=?????)

Hello Mark, Look for the capacity plate usually beside the driver seat or on the front dash. You need the Model and Serial #
