Discussion:
What would i need to do to become a Komatsu Dealer

I started as a Field, maintenance and repair Tech. last year with my service van. Now i have a shop and own 6 forklifts that i have repaired. My customers Keep asking me for rentals and new equipment, I have worked with Komatsu and know the product. The nearest Komatsu in Mexico is a 3 hour flight from here. I have worked for dealers for about 12 years and know how they operate. What would I need to do to open a dealer?

Hello marc_a,

In my opinion, certain magazine and electronic advertisement, enough parts stock, beautiful showroom, reliable after service team are necessary if you wanna open your business.

By the way, we could also supply full range material handling equpments and please visit our webstie www dot hytsu dot com, if you have interest, please feel free to tell me!

Sounds very hard. lol We don't use ads either. We are manufacturer of forks and attachment, not dealing forklifts. so we hope some one could help us to market. But as you said, finding right people is hard.

Call 770.787.5100 (Komatsu USA in Covington, GA - near Atlanta) and ask for Olga Phillips - she takes care of Mexico, Central & South America and speaks Spanish fluently.
