We were using it and suddenly the machine went dead.. then when we turned it on the battery bar code keeps coming up with the last 3 bars lite up. according to the book is means the rider is not in position. But we are.
The driver platform is stuck about 5 feet in the air. and it wont move at all. no forward/reverse or steering.
We have checked the panel in the front - emergency switch.. the hand sensors, the foot sensors, the gate switch.
This problem has happen in the past but we were never able to figure it out.. after a few days it started working again. But now it went back to the same problem.
The thing is that the flashing lights that are the back of the wave that normally light up when the wave is turned on are not flashing.. I think that is an important clue as to what the problem may be but I can't figure it out... Anyone have any ideas? Thanks again for any help you can provide.

Make sure the switches below the operator's floorboard are working and the harnesses are connected properly.
I'll suggest that you check the Chain Slack switches that are underneath the Motor Cover.
If someone stepped on the Motor Cover, that would cause a switch to break.
I mentioned "stuck in the air" because I was referring to Giovanni's (original post 2013) description of the problem that he had experienced.
My nickname is Lagrange; many years ago, I did live in Missouri...I live in Colorado now.
Platform is not stuck in the air. Checked both cables from pods to under floor with ohm meter and everything checks out ok. LaGrange are you in Lagrange MO?
I've seen this problem before.
If the platform is stuck in the air, you need to replace the Conductor Cables.
Don't replace only 1, you must replace both cables.
I strongly suggest that you acquire a handset especially if you have multiple units. You would be able to see every switch and it's status. There are too many possibilities. I have two different styles of handsets and a complete set of schematics and it can still be a challenge but it makes it a lot easier. I can understand how this problem would be frustrating.
I wish I had a hand set it would make things so much better. Still shows code 7 when you try to go forward or reverse.
I just was wondering because I have had customers think that the illuminated hands off switch meant something was wrong.
Is the truck working now? If not, do you have access to a handset?
The little light on the left pod that goes of when you have your hands on both pods. We got it to go off now and check all wiring from pods to the floor and all ok.
What do you mean by a presence sensor light?
The presence sensor light will not go out even after changing out the pods. I am thinking a broken wire in the mast????? Gate switches seem to be good.
They are an input that can prohibit travel. They're located at the bottom of the gates, two on each side, one for open one for close. Check operation and resistance of each
No I haven't are they tied in with the presence switches/sensors?
Jordan have you checked the gate switches ?
Having the same problem. Replaced both the traction pod and the steering pod with working ones from another wave and jumped the foot switches and still shows code 7
