Discussion:
Transmission

Hi
Can any one give me a Idea where to start look for problem. My forklift truck when hot It feels like it is stuck you eccelarate the enjin just start to rev up then the RPM drops the you press a little more on the padel the machine all off sudden jumps forward somtimes with wheel spin it is like something get stuck and then jumps free.
This get worse the hotter the transmission gets. It is just happening in forward gear.It is also doing it when empty but not that bad,
Regards Frans

Is it a 351 series or 393 series truck? It sounds like you are not getting enough pressure to fully release the brakes.

sounds like brake plates sticking due to being warped, possibly due to driver using stop pedal rather than letting truck do braking
