I need some help on a gray market Toyota 2FG7 lift I'm fixing up. I'm doing a service on the machine and I can't seem to find where to add fluid to the transmission; the drain is where you'd expect it on the bottom but for the life of me I can't find a service point. No dipstick, and nothing on the sides, front, top, or inside the bell-housing. Next step I was going to try and pull the top cover plate off and have a look but there's a captive bolt under the pivot shaft for the clutch and brake pedals that appears captive as well, so I'm frankly stuck. I'm honestly getting to the point where I'm about to knock the pivot pin for the gearshift out so I can dump some fluid in there; or maybe drill and tap the side of the case for a plug if I wasn't afraid I'd prang something inside.
My Google-fu isn't very strong, and my 'local' (still 1½ hour drive away) Toyota lift center has been a liability so far, otherwise I'd absolutely ask them. Thanks in advance for any help!
