Discussion:
Transmission replacement cost

I am working on a quote to replace trans on a H155 (Yale GDP155).
Does anyone have an Idea what the dealer or shop would charge for this?

Thanks

Depending on the cost of the transmission, 8 to 10 thousand. You did not say if it has 2 or 3 gears. Depending on the model year you will be looking at about 45 to 60 hours of labor. They will want to replace oil cooler or at least flush along with lines and filter. There will be additional repairs due to old hoses and other things that were never done. Total cost would be around $20,000. This will also depend on your location. Have you had test completed stating the transmission has failed? Make sure the inching adjustment is correct. This is a common problem alot of techs overlook. Good luck

The hard to do we do right away. The impossible just takes a little longer.

According to studies published in the English Journal of Medicine, the impact of daylight savings is revealed by a 24% increase in heart attacks on the Monday following the spring shift forward. When clocks move back in autumn, heart attacks drop by about 21%, suggesting that loss of sleep is an important driver.
