Transmission diagnose

I have a hyster h50xl. It travels forward and reverse. The problem is that it travels extremely slow. Is there a actual service and repair manual that I can download to try and repair this unit? Or a test procedure that I can follow? Please help!!!

Before you do anything else, check to see if the transmission filter is tight. I've run into several of these where the filter is less than hand tight. Not sure if it's due to vibration or a mechanic who doesn't know what he's doing. The trans will slip and delay going into gear if the filter is loose enough.
