Discussion:
Trans Brake

I have a Yale and the transmission brake does not work intermittently and then you get a trans brake temp warning and it basically derates. I did not write down the codes and then they needed it back to unload a truck. Any thoughts?

I have this issue as well, plus the truck "bucks" under acceleration as if the engine is turning on and off.

I had a simular issue and traced it to the toss sensor. Do you have the speed limiting program in your vsm. in my case it wouldnt let me limit my speed. My Toss sensor actually came apart.

Trans fluid is universal trans/hydraulic fluid JD Hygard. You have to have a service level password to get into the calibration screen. You will need to contact your local Yale dealer to get the password.

I believe the output sensor is the issue as well. What is the correct fluid for this units tranny? Hydratrans? What viscosity?

Low fluid level can cause this. You may need to run the trans calibration. Either the TISS or TOSS sensor could be defective.
