Toyota 42-5FG25 Wiring Question

I have a broken wire (the one I am holding) going to this thing next to the distributor, it is black with white stripe, does anyone know where the other end is supposed to go? I can't find any obvious clues. Anyone have a wiring diagram for this machine, or a service manual? Thanks for your help!

Thanks! Can you tell or show me where it goes?

Be nice to forky
I appreciate the response, looking at a wiring diagram, I think it is a ground.

I will assume you have the 4Y engine.
That "Thing" next to the distributor is actually a part of the distributor (As seen in the photo provided of a brand new assembly).
I have two Toyota 42-5FG25 machines at my site too, and both of them have this spare wire that seemingly leads to nothing.
I've always been curious too, but I have two reasons to believe that it's nothing to be worried about.
