Discussion:
I need a distributor GM 4.3 HEI

I am looking for a HEI distributor for a Hyster H90XLS serial# F005D04479M with a GM 4.3 without vacuum advance. Hyster no longer sells this or parts. I am looking for a new one or rebuild kits. Thanks for the help.

hyster lists it still in their parts diagrams
375622
along with all the internal parts
i suppose what your suggesting is the part is discontinued
strangly enough there are reference notes that indicate this distributor can still be obtained as part of an engine assembly, of course who wants to buy a complete engine for just one part of it.
doh!

yep just about any autoparts store might have one if you take the old one in to match it up

I have gotten them at Carquest and they have them on the shelf for these units.

If you get no help send me a picture of the internals of your distributor & I'll see what I can do

I talked to them over the phone. But I will bring it in and try that. It's hard to get good help at my Parts store.

one other word of thought,i believe that the GM engines in forklifts are the GM Marine engines and are a little diffrent than the automotive engines, ran into this on a GM 4.3 in a CLARK forklift starter from NAPA,just something to remember.

I agree with kevin t- I'd take the distributor to your local NAPA- I've had good luck with their parts-ask to see their illustrated buyers guide on ignition parts & replace the internals- not sure if entire distributor would work

Could try a local auto parts like NAPA or along those lines......Take the distributor with you to match up,also see if there is any numbers on it that may help.
