Clark C500 Y50:
No power steering

I recently purchased a Clark 1983 c500y50. The power steering doesn't work, I checked the fluid in the front differential and it's fine..Where do I start? I can't even identify where the power steering pump is..

I believe the pump is on the left side of sitting on the truck on the side of the transmission it uses the transmission fluid to pick up the oil.it is possible that the steering cylinder under the truck on the center is bad the center of the cylinder is a valve that controls the direction of the oil l have seen that go bad and cause no steering if that is the case you should replace the complete steering cylinder. Hope l was of some help.
