Linde (& Baker) E30:
No forward or reverse

Hi Guys,
I have a major problem with my electric Linde Forklift, one day it just stopped going forward or reverse, over the last year I have had three technicians out to it, two of which said it was the drive ecu. Both of these had the Linde diagnostic set up on their computer! One of them actually managed to borrow another working ecu and plugged it in and hey presto nothing! So at present I am lost as to what to do with it, both technicians have told me to scrap it. The third said it may be the wiring loom but wasn't sure and didn't want to do it so I am stuck ! Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Guys,
I have tried all your latest suggestions but with no luck, I am trying to get a technician out to it and give me the codes. I'll post the codes when I get them.
Once again Many Thanks for your advice

Do you remember the codes or the message ?
Broken wire in the loom won't be a nightmare.
Talking of broken wires, what's the harness like where the cab hinges ?

Hi ,
I've had two engineers with diagnostic software they said it pointed to they ECU being faulty one of them replaced the ECU with one off a working truck but it didn't solve the problem, one of them suggested it could be a broken wire in the loom which could be a nightmare to find.

Call engineer with diagnostic software , check on screen the error if truck not respond on drive. If we need a number it is easy to fix the error

truck steer totally right , then half turn back. Truck reset, key off and on. Then check if will drive one wheel on left. Try it also for left side.

Make sure the brake switch isn't activated too
Can't remember but in some models the pin or actuator on the brake presale can go i on ast the switch and on the other side
This then tells the truck that brakes are fully pressed when not

Hi to the two of you helping me, I need to add something that may or not be relevant. The brake pedal travels all the way to the floor, I haven't looked at it yet but I presume it is hydraulic, and could have been faulty for some time.
I look forward to your comments

no, if seat switch not working you have also not hydraulics ,only steer.
If hydraulics works but not drive you need look actual error why truck not move.
Problem steer sensor, pedal electrics , etc etc. Very difficult to fix without pc software. Try before start with keyswitch lift the accelerator pedaal little mm , mayby the pedal not in home position.
