Hyster Yale maximal

Hyster Yale buying Maximal makes no real sense they already have a deal with HC forklifts for the Utilev trucks so unless they have got out of this deal HC will still produce for the Utilev brand.

Maximal only produce around 6,000 units per year with a capacity of 30,000 and paying 90 mill dollars for just 75% equity is not really a good deal. Maximal are looking to get into the port equipment market but only supply and very small number of these trucks to the local market, and with the likes of Sany and Heli already dominating the local Chines market were will the new Hyster Yale maximal truck fit. One area might be the new Hyster Yale maximal company might look to supply another manufacture under a badge agreement to enter the local market

Now they have the Fortis, and 3 economy versions? The HT, Utilev, and Maximal. Way to corner the economy market

Its a known fact that they have bought Maximal, what not so much well Known is the reason for this purchase, which is the Chinese container handling Market.

Maximal might manufacture for Utilev but that might cause concern with HC who currently manufacture for Utilev. So thats going to be the interesting part of this deal. also Maximal do some good copies of another manufactures trucks so you might see these appearing as utilev in the future.

Sany practically control the Chinese market in mobile Container handling and with Maximal and possibly a deal with another Chinese company that will be announced next year Hyster Yale will enter this market producing trucks at maximal for this company

Sany have produce over three times as many Reach stackers as Hyster by controlling the Chinese market

still can't work out why Hyster yale paid $100 mill for maximal. they could of bought eny of the other Chinese companies that do the same but for a fraction of the price.

In two to three years there will be a massive rightdown on the value in Hyster Yale books. Ticking bomb

Maybe they know something that you don't! Without knowing the detail of what has been agreed, (at this point the only people who know sit on the boards of both companies), capabilities and the direction ahead, the price may be right and future secure. Let it play out and stop random speculation.

We have looked at it many ways and can't find an up side. The only chance of a up side was if they were to manufacture reachstackers for ZPMC. That seems not to be the case.

Maximal have no patents on forklifts they produce the standard chines truck only 6,000 units per year so their facility is 80 percent not working. Now if Hyster move they tech over they still wont compete with Heli, HC in the small truck range and Sany and ZPMC in the ports.

If it was for Utilev like i said they could of bought many chinese other company at a much lower price.

If they move away from HC for Utilev HC will just go after there dealer network.

Just a completely bad deal for Hyster and their shareholders.

In a way it just shows how bad Hyster Yale is trying to compete with Toyota who own tailift KION with Baoli and Junghierich with their tie up with Heli.

If they are trying to get into the Asian big truck market, as Toyota Hoist are hurting them in North America. There are many better ways to do this with out wasting $100Million. Then taking a big write down in value in the next couple of years

If its to enter the big truck and port market with an electric truck this again is a waist of money. The battery size would need to be 1MW and the charging time would be to long even with quick charging.

Looks like Maximal is to launch their copy of the combilift truck. Will be interesting to see how dealers like Briggs re act. They deal for both combi and Hyster so who’s truck will they sell. Also will Maximal do a articulated truck as well.

The specialist truck market might be in for a shock,

There is already a chinese company copying the aisle-master, company called uknalift, who will be the first people to try them. i cn't see them performing well at high lift with chinese built masts.

With Hyster planning to use the Maximal truck for their Utilev range will HC now go after the Utilev dealer network for HC equipment. If so how will this effect Hyster Yale group

The purchase of Maximal by Hyster Yale will mean the end for Nijmegen, Hyster will build the big trucks in China as they are looking to get to 7% operating profit margin, 63% of Hyster turnover is in North America and 12.6% is big trucks. Hyster will lose out dramatically in the big truck market and in North America meaning they will be an easy option for a Chinese Purchase with in three years

So, when is this machine going to be available for sale , service, etc. You keep jumping around on these forums like you are trying to dodge us. As far as yale /hyster is concerned nobody on these forums know as much as the yale /hyster corporations management teams. So what if they go Chinese/ how do you not know that the Chinese might one day decide to buy your company. No matter where you are at in todays world MONEY TALKS B/S walks
