Discussion:
Battery Voltage Error

I have just acquired responsibility for a Hyster E30XM Electric Forklift.

It has a 48 volt battery in good condition.
Its nameplate and the tag on its EV100ZX controller both say 48 volts.

When I turn it on it does not run, it shows an error code #16 "Battery Voltage Too High"

I connected a 36 volt battery from a different machine to it and it runs fine!

Someone told me there would be a DIP switch under the dash board to set battery voltage. There are no switches on the dash PC boards.

I'm thinking there must be a setup parameter that establishes this voltage. How do I access the parameters to change them? what kind of service tool or software do I need?

Any help in pointing me in the correct direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John
